VALLEY OF FLOWERS NATIONAL PARK TRAVEL GUIDE

Valley of Flowers National Park is quite popular in Northern state of Uttarakhand, India which is located in the West Himalayas and is surrounded by Tibet and Nepal. This was affirmed as a National Park in 1982 and it stretches to about 88 square kilometers. This is a heaven for the Nature lovers as the park contains colorful flowers and scenic beauty.

The Valley of flowers, Uttarakhand in a recognized UNESCO World heritage site and this name is given to this destination by an explorer, mountaineer, a botanist, Frank S Smith. As the name depicts, the Valley is covered by flowers which is great blessing of God. Flowers refresh and charm you with their beauty and perfume. So in order to refresh yourself from such a fascination creation you should travel to Valley of flowers in the enchanting state of Uttarakhand which is famous worldwide for its scenery, natural beauty, wildlife and culture. Wild animals like snow leopard, black bear, brown bear, blue sheep and musk deer are also found here. For the nature lovers this is a must sight to visit.

The Valley of flowers in Uttarakhand catches the interest of tourists from all over the world. It contains more than 500 species of flowers and the park has a spectacular scene in the monsoon when all the flowers are in full bloom. It seems so magical and the local people have a belief that the valley was once inhibited by fairies. The Uttarakhand Valley is also known for the medicinal value of its flowers. Many doctors recommend that you should take some time off your hectic routine and take a break in some pure unpolluted area and you will not find more beautiful and pure place in India than the Valley of flowers.

If you are making plans to visit this place then you should know that the Valley of flowers in Uttarakhand is in full bloom in July and August however the part is open to visitors from April to October while the rest of the year the Valley is covered in the blanket of snow.

The Valley of flowers is open from 6am to 6pm for 12 hours and the visitors are only allowed to stay in the park of Uttarakhand during these timings, no camping or staying in the park is allowed. However there are few hotels near the Valley of flowers where the visitors and the tourists can stay at night. Since in the peak seasons tourists flock from all over the world so it is advisable to make a booking in advance so that when you arrive at the place you will not have to get in the fuss to make a booking or to wait. There are also some camping services available nearby but you cannot camp in the park.

In you experience going to the Valley of flowers in Uttarakhand at early morning, you will see the flowers dipped in dew, colorful butterflies roaming on the flowers, lush green grass, the chirping of the birds, the majestic mountains make this a breathtaking scene and no tourists has left this place beautiful destination without being impressed by the virgin beauty of this Valley.
