During the journey through Karnataka tourists will discover traces of glorified history of the state. Karnataka tourism centers around wildlife sanctuaries, waterfalls, hill resorts, ancient temples and white sandy beaches.

One can travel Karnataka during the summer of winter. Karnataka is the destination for all seasons. There's plenty to see in the state but there is no better way to start the journey than exploring the glorified history of Karnataka. You can start the visit from Badami - a town popular for cave temples. Hampi the UNESCO World Heritage Site is famous for the Hindu temples like Virupaksha Temple and Vittala Temple. Pattadakal village is also famous for the Hindu temples like Kashivishvanatha temple.

Pilgrimage has become a symbol of Karnataka tourism. There are several Hindu and Jain pilgrimage sites in Karnataka. Mahabaleshwara Temple in Gokarn and Sangamanatha Temple at Kudalasangama are important Lord Shiva shrines in state. Mahakuta group of temples near Badami are also must visit Hindu pilgrimage sites.

Karnataka BeachBeaches have become integral part of Karnataka tourism. There are plenty of breathtaking beaches in Karnataka, some of them are hardly explored by the tourists. Kanwar is a popular beach town in the state. There are several beautiful beaches in Kanwar. Malpe Beach is ideal for family picnics. Maravanthe Beach is considered as the most picturesque beach in Karnataka. Site of the Narasimha Temple, Kurumgad Beach is also very popular among tourists. White sand, blue water and picturesque mountain has also made Murudeshwar beach an ideal romantic place in the state.

Over the years wildlife parks in Karnataka have conserved several species of birds and animals. Among all wildlife sanctuaries in Karnataka, Badami national park is the most popular among the tourists. Other wildlife reserves in the state include Anshi National Park, Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary, Kudremukh National Park etc. These lust green forests have conserved various species of birds like White Ibis, Egret, cormorant, Partridge, at the same time Leopards, Elephants, Jackals, Tigers etc.

Some other important Karnataka tourist destinations include Mysore - famous for its forts often referred as the cultural capital of India. Bangalore - the capital of Karnataka, famously known as Garden City of India. Mangalore, Belgaum and Kodagu and other important places to visit.
