The San Diego Festival of Beer is a annual event that donates all the proceeding to local cancer charities. San Diego Festival of Beer was started way back in 1994 by a group of friends to raise money for the fight against cancer.
Over the years the beer festival has gained popularity in San Diego and other nearby towns in California. Last year more than 3000 people visited the festival.
The 17th annual San Diego Festival of Beer will feature more than 70 breweries and over 150 finest craft beer from San Diego. Brewers like Airdale, Alaskan, Stone, Ballast Point etc are expected to participate in this year's festival.
The festival will also feature live band performances on two stages. Some very talented bands like Len Rainey & the Midnight Players, Night Shift, will entertain the crowd during the event. There will be food and wine on sale in the event. The first 6000 guests will receive free souvenir event logo tasting mug.
The price of the ticket for the event is $40. The event only accepts cash and local checks. The admission price includes 10 (4oz). beer tasting. Extra tasting can be purchased for $5 inside the venue.
