The ideal behind Al Bustan Festival was to revive cultural life of Lebanon which was trying to get back on its feet after 17 years of war. First ever festival took place in the year 1994 and since then it has established itself as one of the most popular and unique winter music festival not just in Lebanon but around the world.
Today festival has reached its goal with more than 30 performances per year lasting for a period of 5 weeks ranging from opera, classical, dance, jazz and much more. Festival has become one of the major attractions for foreign tourists in Lebanon.

Tuesday, February 23: Baroque Italian, a Concerto de Cavalieri
Thursday, February 25: “Constance” ballet by choreograph Julien Lestel’s dance group
Friday, February 26: “Constance” ballet by choreograph Julien Lestel’s dance group
Saturday, February 26: 8:30pm: “Six composers for ten fingers”, piano concert by pianist Andréa Gallo.
10:30pm: “Late night Jazz”, jazz concert by quartet Luca Ciarla
Sunday, February 28: “Twelve Heavenly Voices”, concert by Stile Antico choir
Monday, March 1st: 6:30pm: Conference of the festival at the Italian Cultural Center, followed by “La Commedia dell’arte”, theatrical improvisation by Antonio Fava.
8:30pm: “200 candles for chopin” young Lebanese pianists concert from the National Conservatory in a tribute to Chopin.
Tuesday, March 2: “Three Italians in a romantic mood” David Trio concert revisiting Shubert and Tchaikovsky’s arrangements.
Friday, March 5: “Il Barbiere di Siviglia”opera by Gioachino Rossini staged by l’Opera di Roma.
Saturday, March 3: “Il Barbiere di Siviglia” opera by Gioachino Rossini staged by l’Opera di Roma.
Sunday, March 7: “JUST CHOPIN” piano concert by Yundi Li.
Tuesday, March 9: “Romeo and Julia” parody of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, staged by Nature Theatre of Oklahoma.
Wednesday, March 10: “Romeo and Julia” parody of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, staged by Nature Theatre of Oklahoma.
Thursday, March 11: “Only Male Voices”, concert by Santa Maria Maggiore masculine choir.
Friday, March 12 : Gloria, tribute to Puccini with Isabella Palerma, Mezzo-soprano, Maria Tomassi, soprano and Toufic Maatook, baryton, accompanied by The Lebanese National Philharmonic Orchestra
Saturday, March 13 : “East faces West”, concert bringing together Racha Arodaky’s piano melodies with Fadhel Messaoudi’s Oud rythms.
Sunday, March 14: “The Festival Choir Concert”, Famous Opera Choruses, The Al Bustan Festival Choir conducted by Gianluca Marciano.
Tuesday, March 16: An Enchanted Evening, common concert of Emmanuel Pahud at the flute and Eric le Sage at the piano.
Thursday, March 18: Exceptionnal Duo of Sami Merdinian at the violin and Enrico Pace at the piano.
Saturday, March 20: Symphonic Masterpieces, piano concert by Enrico Pace accompanied by Lebanese National Philharmonic Orchestra
Sunday, March 21: Grand Finale, concert of Soprano Cristina Nassif accompanied by Lebanese National Philharmonic Orchestra
