Indonesia Barred Tourists From Mount Lokon Volcano

Indonesia will barred tourists from the Mount Lokon Volcano after increasing the alert level. Alert level for Mount Lokon Volcano of Indonesia has been raised to the highest level yesterday that will prompt evacuations.

Volcanologists have said that alert level was raised after volcano spewed ash 500 metres in the sky. Indonesia will start the evacuation of the people living around the 3.5 km radius of the volcano for safety reasons.

As for the tourists, the popular hiking trail to the Mount Lokon volcano will be barred. Officials will check the trail for the tourists and ask them to leave the place immediately. Indonesia will make sure that no tourist sneaks through to get a glimpse of one of the most active volcanoes in the country. In the past there have been incidents when tourists have decided to visit the volcano despite red flag from the government.
