There were earlier reports on Tuesday of Great shark Sighting by the local fisherman who claimed that shark was circling around his boat in the ocean. Fisherman reported to see 2 sharks, one 20 feet long and other was much smaller in size. At that time police and Shark expert had doubt over the sighting considering that small shark would not travel around the big shark. Apart from that there were more reports of shark sighting Friday or Saturday.
Life guards in the area has not spotted any shark around, therefore they need more evidence to suggest that it was indeed Great White Shark but still they are taking all precautionary measures to ensure safety of people on the beach. Lifeguards are keeping their eyes in the ocean for sharks.
Experts feels that surfers and fisherman have possibly mistaken basking sharks with Great White Sharks. Baskin Sharks looks pretty similar to Great White. However they also said that Great White Sharks are pretty common to spot in this area.
As for now Police and Life guards has denied to close down the beach but advised people not to go far in the ocean. Some tourists had pretty concerned faces after finding out the possible Great White Shark sighting in the region. They decided to keep off the water.
