Kullu travel guideKullu is a small hill station located in Himachal Pradesh. Kullu is a beautiful valley protected by the snow capped mountains of the great Himalayas. Kullu is referred as the Valley of Gods and has found reference in epics like Ramayana and Mahabharata.

Kullu is very well preserved destination because it was relatively difficult to reach till 1950. It was only after 1970 that Kullu earned fame as tourist destination. However it was soon overshadowed by the nearby Manali.

Kullu's proximity to Manali and presence of airport has made it gateway to Manali for air travelers. Despite its name being coupled along with Manali, Kullu has its own allure and traditions that makes it exclusive.

Located on the banks of river Beas, all the tourists who travel to Kullu have been won over by its deodar forest, apple orchards, snow capped mountains and religious attractions.
