Jaipur is a major travel spot in India. The city is considered as a gateway to several other travel destinations in Rajasthan like Jodhpur and Udaipur. Tourists start their desert tours holidays from Jaipur that further extends to several other parts of Rajasthan. Jaipur is also part of the famous Golden Triangle along with Delhi and Agra. Jaipur is a winter travel destination. The best time to travel Jaipur for Holidays is October to March. The temperature during this period remains around 25 to 5 Degree. Due to extreme heat and temperature crossing 40-degree mark, summer is not the ideal time to travel Jaipur.

ATTRACTIONS IN JAIPUR

City Palace - The City Palace is a huge palace built in Mughal and Rajasthani style that covers one-seventh of Jaipur. Located in the heart of old city, palace contains gardens, courtyards and several buildings. The Chandra Mahal in the City Palace is the place where the family of Maharaja resides. Building around the Chandra Mahal are turned into museums for the tourists like Mubarak Mahal which house a textile musuem, Diwan-e-Khas - famous for the two largest silver vessels in the world.

Amber Fort, JaipurAmber Fort - The Amber Fort was named after the Goddess Amba is some 11km from the Jaipur. There are elephants rides available to take up to the Amber Fort. There is a temple dedicated to the Shila Mata. Charbagh garden is another attraction in the Amber Fort. The main highlight of the Amber Fort is Sheesh Mahal - Palace of Mirrors. The walls and ceilings of the Sheesh Mahal are adorned with thousands of mirror tiles. Sheesh Mahal is one of the most beautiful palace in India.

Jaigarh Fort - The Jaigarh Fort is considered one of the strongest forts in India. The fort was never conquered successfully. The most popular attraction in the Jaigarh Fort is, Jaivana - world's largest cannon. There are beautiful gardens in the Jaigarh Fort that tourists should visit.

Nahargarh Fort - The Nahargarh Fort is the smallest of the three forts in Jaipur. The Nahargarh Fort offers splendid views of Man Sagar lake. Famous bollywood movie starring Aamir Khan - Rang De Basanti was shot in this fort.

Jal Mahal - Jal Mahal or Water Palace is a beautiful palace in the center of Maan Saggar lake. The palace is very beautiful from the outside. One of the most photographed palaces in India.

Jantar Mantar in JaipurJantar Mantar - Jantar Mantar is Jaipur is among the five astronomical observatories built by the Maharaja Jai Singh. Jantar Mantar is Jaipur is the largest and best preserved of the five that why soon it will be listed in the UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Jantar Mantar in Jaipur was used to calculate time, predict eclipse, star positions using 14 geometric devices that are still available to see for the tourists.

Hawa Mahal - Hawa Mahal or the Palace of Winds is the major landmark and most visited travel attraction in Jaipur. This beautiful five story palace was built by the red sandstone. There are over 950 windows in the palace to allow air in the palace.

Swargasuli - Swargasuli is a beautiful Minaret located near the Chhoti Chowk and Tripolia Gate. The seven stories Swargasuli Minaret offers great views of Old city of Jaipur. The Swargasuli was built by the Ishwari Singh to commemorate his victory over Mewar and Marathas.

Galtaji - Galtaji  is a important pilgrimage site for Hindus located 10 km from Jaipur. The temple of Galtaji is built of the pink stone. There are several natural springs surrounding the temple, which believed to possess curative properties.

Govind Devji TempleGovind Devji Temple - The temple is very important pilgrimage travel destination for the followers of Lord Krishna. The statue of Lord Krishna in the temple was brought from the Vrindavan and is believed that the idol looks exactly like the Lord Krishna's form while his incarnation of Earth. The faces of the idols are unveiled 7 times a day for Bhogs and Aarties.

Moti Doongari - Moti Doongari or Moti Dungri is a small hill that houses a temple and a Palace. Moti Dungri temple is dedicated to the Lord Ganesha. It is believed that this temple was built to protect Jaipur. This temple was the first building that was constructed in the city.

Jain Mandir - located 16 km away from Jaipur, the Jain temple in Shivdas Pura is famous for the statue of God Padamprabhu that appeared during the construction of a house.

Galwh Bagh - Home of Monkey Temple and the Suriya Mandir - Sun Temple. Tourists and local come to the Monkey Temple to feed monkeys. Monkey food is available at the bottom of hill. The Sun Temple at the top of the hill is famous for offering beautiful views of the Jaipur during sunset.
