Dwarka, GujaratGujarat has a thousands year old tradition of welcoming the guests with open heart. The state truly believes in the words that "Guest is our God". Gujarat is paradise for the tourists. It not only offers natural attractions like beaches and forests but pilgrimage destinations like Dwarka and ancient Buddha caves in Junagadh , forts & palaces and of course the spirit of rich culture of state – colorful festivals like Rann Kutch Utsav or the Saputara Monsoon Festival. During the visit to Gujarat, tourists will come across religious monuments belonging to several major religions like Hindu, Buddhism, Jain, Islam, Parsi and Sikh.

The evergreen Gujarati people are famous for being tourist friendly and charmingly welcome. The people have got this charm from the splendid beauty and rich culture of Gujarat that makes it a unique place to explore. The western most state of India still remains one of the least explored tourist destination in the country. Gujarat has everything that a tourist can ask for - temples, ancient caves, beaches, forest and much more. Majority of these places are still unknown to the tourists. One such example is beaches - there are several pristine white sandy beaches in cities like Dwarka, Veraval, Porbandar still waiting for the tourists.

Gir National ParkThe state will offer destinations for the tourists that no other place in world can offer. Places like Balasinor - also known as Jurassic Park of India, the only place in world where tourists can hold 6 million year old Dinosaur egg. Gujarat is also the last refuge of the Asiatic lions that have withdrawn deep into the Gir National Park. These are two of the many unique attractions Gujarat has to offer.

Gujarat is the birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi and the state is very proud of this. The state has treasured Mahatma Gandhi in several ways. Today Gujarat Tourism Department has developed Gandhi Circuit - the places that holds some significance with the great man. There are attractions like Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedbad to the Kirti Mandir in Porbandar - the very house where Mahatma was born.
