Bursa is a city in the Asian part of Turkey. Bursa lies in the northwestern part of Turkey near the sea of Marmara. The city was the first ever capital of the Ottoman Empire. It's the fourth largest city of Turkey after Istanbul,Ankara and Izmir.It is famous with peach,chestnut and silk industry. As it is first capital of the Ottoman Empire, it has a lot of historical places to see. Furthermore, Uludağ - one of the highest mountains in the Turkey- lies in the middle of Bursa which is the winter sports center of Turkey.

HOW TO REACH
By plane - An airport serving domestic flights can be found in Bursa. However, in order to get to Bursa from another country by plane, you will have to take a transit flight via one of Turkey's international airports. In most cases, you will probably be arriving to Bursa from the following airports:

İzmir Adnan Menderes Airport
There are other international airports in Turkey, but these happen to be the biggest.
By train - There is no railway in Bursa.
By bus - Take a bus from Istanbul.It takes about 3 hours and the ticket is 10 euros.
By boat - Take the ferries from Istanbul Yenikapı terminal (in the European part of Istanbul in Eminönü) to Yalova, then a bus or a dolmuş to Bursa. A fastest option is the new ferry between Istanbul and Bursa. It leaves from Yenikapı and actually anchors in Güzelyalı after 75 minutes (20 Lira). From there take the bus (2 Lira) which drives to a metrostation. The metro goes to Bursa, get out the last stop for the citycentre (1,50 Lira). The whole journey from Istanbul to Bursa this way will take about 2,5 hours.
